An accomplished and forward-thinking leader, Darius E.A. Reid has achieved success in building high-performing teams, driving company growth, and overseeing the general management of commercial businesses over the course of two decades of professional experience. Most recently, he served as Vice President and General Manager at Whirlpool Corporation from 2023 to 2025, with a primary focus on the Home Depot part of the company. He made a significant impact there, growing Home Depot to one of Whirlpool’s top three vendors, being integral to the strategy and vision creation for Home Depot’s popular YouTube channel, and serving as the executive sponsor of the Whirlpool Young People Group and leading a team on accountability he established. In 2024, he was recognized as Marketing Partner of the Year for Home Depot.
Since joining Whirlpool in 2014, Mr. Reid has advanced from senior manager of sales, marketing, and product to senior merchandising leader, and subsequently served as Director of Sales, Marketing, and Operations from 2018 to 2021. As a testament to leading his team through the COVID-19 pandemic in New York and the Northeast, he was named the company’s 2020 Leader of the Year. He was then promoted to Senior Director of Strategy, Business Operations, Enablement, and Experience from 2021 to 2023. In the midst of these positions, he co-founded Reid & Bethea Group in 2021, through which he and his business partner utilize their combined experience in design, construction, project management, and business to build comfortable, inviting, sustainable, and energy-efficient homes throughout California.
Wielding a BBA in management from Texas Southern University, Mr. Reid launched his career at Stanley Black & Decker Inc., where he excelled as a sales development representative, sales and marketing specialist, a field marketing coordinator, and a national field product captain between 2006 and 2010. He then continued his success in the roles of development manager, market manager, and sales manager between 2010 and 2014. While growing at Whirlpool Corporation, he also bolstered his credentials by attaining an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University in 2018, with which he has strived to help organizations grow, innovate, and compete at the highest level.

A solid academic background has bolstered Mr. Reid’s professional journey. He received a Bachelor of Business Administration from Texas Southern University in 2006. Committed to continued growth, Mr. Reid earned a Master of Business Administration from Northwestern University in 2018. He has completed certifications in business from the Jesse H. Jones Graduate School of Business, in Salesforce implementation, and as a green belt in Six Sigma from Whirlpool.
